Caroline has been making jewellery since she graduated in 1979. After a break for a few years from the creative process she took up her tools again in 2003 and produces a small but unique body of work every year using traditional & modern handmade techniques.
She has recently discovered a liking for smithing one- off special occasion solid silver spoons and also on occasion makes keepsake boxes. Her jewellery is bold, unique, often quirky and she rarely repeats a design. All her work is completed to a high standard and beautiful finish which was instilled in her in the Jewellery Dept at Edinburgh College of Art and stays with her to this day.
Techniques such as Keum Boo, Fold Forming, raising and constructing add a variety of dimensions to Caroline's work. She creates a unique design in mostly silver with accents of gold and semi precious stones that provides the wearer with an individual addition to any outfit daytime or evening
