The Scottish landscape and its history are deeply inspiring. looking to the forms, shapes and textures of the landscape inspires me to create jewellery and sculptural metalwork. Going to the great outdoors forms a large part of my work. I feel very drawn to go on solo residencies, often camping, in remote Scottish locations to connect with and collect impressions of the landscape. I love to use experimental photography, drawing, print, onsite metalwork and writing. Then using the material as a direct source of inspiration for making works that reflect the shapes and textures and experience within the environment.
