David Mola was born in Spain in 1971.
His fascination with glass started early: he was born in a glazier shop, and this material surrounded him during his childhood.
David works predominantly with both stained and bespoke kiln glass, using glass as my main creative material but mixing it with other materials, always looking for contrast, balance and dialogue between them.
He studied at the “Centre del Vidre” in Barcelona.
He also earned a degree in photography and audiovisual communication from the Complutense University of Madrid.
For twelve years he has managed his own studio where he works on both private and public commissions, restoration and teaching.
He is a Member of the Contemporary Glass Society and Scottish Glass Society.
He currently lives and works in Edinburgh, Scotland.
