Isaksson has 18 years experience of working with Scandinavian glass making techniques and can offer a bespoke service which includes design, prototype and manufacture.
She began her glass blowing training at the famous Orrefors Glass School in Sweden 1998 learning traditional Swedish glass making techniques and in 2006 Isaksson graduated from her Masters degree at Edinburgh College of Art. Further training includes apprenticeships in glass blowing studios in France and Italy.
Her initial schooling in Sweden was all about to make unfussy simple forms that still influence her work today.
Inspired by the play of light, texture and movement in nature; Isaksson makes simple but very tactile hand blown glass forms in vibrant colours.
She mainly uses the glassblowing technique to achieve her designs and she often stretches the glass or leave the wavy glass gathering line within her pieces to try and capture the energy when working with molten glass.
