After Qualifying with a B.A.(hons) contemporary applied arts I started my own business and also be came the weaver in residence at Spean Mill. At the mill I wove predominantly tweed. My own practice initially focused on woven items, scarves , blankets, wall hangings. Sometime later, due to health issues I had to restructure my own practice and that was when I started to make jewellery with sheep's fleece and highland cow hair . I used stick weaving as my pathway through my M.A. and fell in love with a new way of working, I am now putting together a collection of woven jewellery using paper inks and gold leaf.
