I graduated with a BA (hons) from Buckighamshire Chilterns University College in Ceramics with Glass with a 2-1 in 2001. I went on to work for a well established studio in Gloucestershire, LoCo glass where I gained the foundations of my professional practise in a hot glass studio. In 2006 I left Loco glass to take up my place on the Masters course at Edinburgh college of Art in the glass department. After completing my Masters I worked as a free-lance glassmakers' assistant moving around the U.K. to different studios. These included Lindean Mill Glass, Gate Gallery & Glassworks and Simon Moore Glass. I have had 2 artist in residency placements at Bucks New University and Edinburgh College of art giving me the opportunity to develop new bodies of work whilst supporting the teaching staff at the 2 institution. My glass has been exhibited widely throughout the U.K. including the International Glass Biennale and Contemporary Glass Society exhibitions. I've also been lucky enough to work in a team of glassmakers at the world renowned Pilchuck School of Glass in the U.S.A. I've attended Master classes in hot glass techniques with highly regarded international glass makers at Haystack Mountain School of Craft also in the U.S. Since 2012 I've been based in my workshop in Leith, Edinburgh where I have developed and refined my production range, NutMeg Glass. I currently stock several galleries around the U.K. and sell directly to the public at events, exhibitions, markets and fairs.
