I use a variety of mediums for my work including embroidery, paint, knitting, weaving and needle felting. Some of these can be found on my website. I have exhibited at The Line Gallery in Linlithgow on a regular basis. I have run workshops for various organisations including Embroidery Guild and Weavers, Spinners and Dyers Guild, The Howden Centre, and Purely Patchwork in Linlithgow.
My work with charities has included participating in pop up shops run by the Cyrenians and working with the Grassmarket Community project for two years running workshops and a textile based social enterprise where I was involved in the development of the Greyfriar’s Tartan.
I work with the elderly in care homes providing craft activities. This work is largely with people with Dementia and is a very enjoyable and rewarding part of my working life.
As well as teaching I make and sell small items – woven phone/glasses cases and needle felted pictures. I also have a portfolio of framed pictures both textiles and watercolour.
