I began to study craft at Grennan Mill Craft School in Co. Killkenny and went on tobe awarded a degree in design and applied arts as well as a post graduate diploma in ceramics from Edinburgh College of Art. I went on to teach at Edinburgh College of Art for three years and have also worked as a craft tutor for several further education colleges, arts organisations and councils. In 2002 I set up my own practice in Glasgow and have been working as a full time maker in ceramics since 2009. I have also managed Glasgow Ceramics Studio since that time.
I now continue to exhibit my work, demonstrate my processes and speak publicly about my practice.nationally and abroad. I have undertaken several craft residencys e.g. at Edinburgh Zoo, The Archie Bray Foundation and the Shift Canada residency with Applied Arts Scotland, I have also won several awards for my work and it is held in public art collections.
