I specialise in drawing, lino printing and photoshop to create digital content for printing to paper and textiles. My printed designs are inspired by the natural environment, particularly endangered species of plants and animals. I work on both small bespoke commissions and large artworks for private and public spaces in healthcare and hospitality. When installed in interiors I intend my prints to remind us of our complex relationship with wildlife and the therapeutic benefits of engaging with the nature. In 2020 I produced artworks that will be integrated into a new Dialysis Unit at the Western General in Edinburgh. I worked with a group of staff and patients via Microsoft Teams, in a collaborative design process. The 5m long landscape celebrates bio diversity in the green spaces across north Edinburgh and will cover two glazed wall partitions. Alongside this I designed a repeat pattern for a wall vinyl suggesting trailing and hanging plants. As an additional part of my design practice I produce unique prints for paper and textiles and have a range of handmade products available from an Etsy shop and other gallery outlets in Scotland. With over 20 years of experience in social engagement I can provide community workshops in block printing for paper and textiles. I have worked with diverse social groups including people with complex support needs.
