Description

This porcelain work is inspired by a lone and unusual lichen recorded growing on the Forth shoreline. I discovered Sea Ivory when researching a previous commission and was intrigued that such a remarkable plant could be growing so close to home. For the commission, it was originally part of a group of plants, but I found the form so interesting that I have given it prominence in this new work.

Sea Ivory is presented in a hand-blown glass bell jar and sits on a plinth.

Size: H.22 x Diameter 20cm
