The Tactile Memento Box is handcrafted from recycled sterling silver and designed to hold something treasured.
This box celebrates the physical act of making – the process and preparation to create this box and ensure each component fits perfectly was technical and consuming in the best possible way. Inspiration is drawn from my own memories, photographs and moments then abstracted into forms and elements to create compositions. Typically being drawn to bold striking shapes found in architecture and intricate organic details found in nature, I combine these opposing elements to create balanced objects. Here a high-pressure embossing technique is used in an unusual way to create surface patterns and textures that appear soft and enticing. This encourages engagement and conversation, creating a tactile and curious experience.

Once the item is purchased the maker will be in touch to arrange delivery of the item if it cannot be collected at Custom Lane on Sunday 11^th June between 12pm-4pm.
