Artistic Practice

Working with primarily recycled materials, I make mosaics for indoors and outdoors, mostly decorative pieces such as mirrors, pictures, garden tables and garden sculpture. These I exhibit in galleries & exhibitions, sell on-line and work to commission.

I use recycled materials in my work, including vintage crockery, ceramic artists wastage, glass scraps and wine bottle glass, broken car windows and sometimes other bits of “rubbish” that would otherwise be destined for landfill. The recycling and reuse element is very important to my practice, and to me, I know the provenance of every piece incorporated, so the finished mosaic becomes like a traditional patchwork quilt.
