I am a handwoven textile designer-creator and trained scientist. My work takes inspiration from data, spanning concepts in genetics (DNA sequences and ancestry) and bioacoustics, with a focus on the craft of encoding information. I am interested in using handcrafted objects to support story-telling and explore our connections to people and place. My work often takes a fibre-to-fabric-to-form approach, working with locally-produced and regenerative materials.

As well as creating items for exhibition and sale, I work as a freelance craft project manager supporting makers with inter-disciplinary collaborations and exploring applications of data and technology as part of the design process; and have taken part in international making residencies focused around data-inspired design.
